Mobilx Vipers made their first appearance of the season at Whitley Bay ice rink and lost 3-1 to the Edinburgh Capitals. Vipers goal was scored by man of the moment, Mike Berry. The Vipers huffed and puffed but could not find a way past the very impressive Cody Rudkowsky in the Capitals goal. Vipers forward Todd Griffith was ejected from the game late on for abusing the referee over a penalty decision that he did not agree with.
