The Vipers went into Hockeyfest on the back of a strong showing in Belfast on Friday night and a good win in Coventry on Saturday.
The Vipers managed to see off the Edinburgh Capitals in a nervous affair early on before going out on penalty shots to the Coventry Blaze, who equalised just as the Vipers were starting to look like they would take the game and make the final.
